Welcome to the "Rooting Out Hidden Faults" Online Lenten Retreat!

Introduction Day for the Lenten Book Retreat

Happy Mardi Gras!

Welcome to the Say Yes to Holiness Rooting Out Hidden Faults: How the Particular Examen Conquers Sin Online Lenten Retreat!

Today is just an introduction day for you to get ready to begin our journey. If you have not gotten your copy of the book for you to follow along, I encourage you to do so as there is plenty to meditate on throughout the book. The book is available on Amazon in paperback and also on Kindle, so you can follow along however you prefer.

Next, the schedule.

Episodes of this special podcast series will be released each day of Lent beginning tomorrow on Ash Wednesday. If you are a part of my newsletter email list already, then you will automatically receive that day’s podcast episode. If you are not a part of the email list, you still be able to find this episode on both YouTube and Spotify, but to make sure you get each episode, subscribe below:

Each day will contain a video (and audio if you prefer) containing that day’s reading, short reflection, and a resolution. I will post the resolution for the day in the post. I am goign to be opening up the Comments for anyone on my email list, so feel free to post your thoughts and comments. Also, I will be answering questions posed in the Comments, so I look forward to interacting with you throughout this journey. :)

Here is the prayer that I shared in the video, and the one I will be using each day of our journey together.

“Most high and glorious God, lighten the darkness of my heart and give me sound faith, firm hope, and perfect love.

Let me, Lord, have the right feelings and knowledge to properly carry out the task you have given me. May the burning and tender might of your love, I beseech you, O Lord, ravish my soul so that I may die for love of my love.

My Lord, I am all yours. You know I have nothing besides my tunic, cord, and underpants. And even these three things are yours. So what can I give you?”—St Francis

May this question proposed by Saint Francis guide our time together, and may God grant us the clarity and courage necessary to give God all that He asks of us this day. Amen.

Finally, any journey like this is more enjoyable when you have good friends along, so PLEASE share this with anyone you think might benefit.

Know of my prayers for each and every one of you as we begin this journey that you may have a truly blessed and grace-filled Lent, so that be given the wisdom and courage to do WHATEVER IT TAKES so that together, we can tell the Master of Death, “Not Today!”
