This week’s Say Yes to Holiness podcast 1:1 Conversation is with Katie Weiss, Founder of Behold Visio Divina.
I met Katie at the Given Institute's Women's Leadership Forum back in June, and also had the privilege of experiencing Visio Divina there as well.
Our conversation focused upon Katie's own journey, how she unexpectedly came to be the founder of Behold, and how Behold is going about helping people encounter beauty.
Behold is for women of all ages, backgrounds, and vocations, focusing on the theme of beauty and femininity. Our program has the particular goal of leading women to transformation in Jesus Christ through the feminine heart of Mary.
Behold is a program specifically built to give women the skills needed to pray using Visio Divina. This method of prayer is a complement to Lectio Divina, which is an encounter with God through open receptivity to His Word in Scripture.
Visio Divina allows God to change one's life by not only listening to Him, but also encountering Him through art.
Our focus is to help women know of their dignity by praying on Mary's feminine genius and finding the gifts that God has given them in their femininity.
Katie shared also shared about the exciting initiatives that are happening within the Behold community and also about Insight program that is a partnership with Aquinas College in Nashville and the Institute for the Transformation of Catholic Education. The partnership has resulted in a series of free resources that are available on their website.
I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Katie and I hope that you find that it helps you do WHATEVER IT TAKES so you be healed through the power of beauty in your own life.
